Paul Walton, an editor at the BBC television program Top Gear, said
Smolensky was thought to have paid Wheeler ?15 million ($27 million), a
figure that could not be confirmed.

"All you're really buying is the name," Walton said. "It's quite a niche
market. Nobody wants to drive such a fast, uncomfortable car."

I was lucky enough to be working at TVR when it changed hands. A lot of
change is happening, for better or worse: no-one knows. As i see it, anyone
who has a 9-figure bank balance and an itchy cheque-writing finger can't do
an ailing British buisness too much harm...
